It seems that the more advanced gaming consoles get, the more they break down. Doesn't matter which you have, PS3 or XBOX 360 (I have  both), its going to eventually wear out. Most claim its due to cheap engineering and/or lack of cleaning the system. I don't know. All I know is its frustrating as hell when you're amped up for the next Call of Duty tournament and all you get is a flash of yellow light laughing in your face. It takes a big smelly dump on your whole day! Then it sticks your head in it and flushes. I'm assuming this has already happened to you since you found my blog. And I'm also assuming you're actively trying to find out what to do about it. I'v been there. You might have even called Sony to find out its going to cost you around $200.00 and a 6 week wait. When my system died I knew sending it off wasn't an option for me. I found a guy close to home who ran his repair business from home. It cost me $80.00 and he was done with it the same day. I also had a 3 month warranty. According to him the problem was caused by the a cheap version of the stuff that coats the motherboard to help it stay cool called flux. Sony apparently cut some corners. Anyways, four months later it  happened again. Yeah... that's right. Two weeks after the warranty expired. And so I paid another $80.00. Now just two weeks ago it has quite again. Even after I had a high speed whisper fan mod added. So I did some research and found that a lot of people are fixing their system themselves for a lot less. I've checked a few of them out and still doing some research. I'm going to post some of the links to sites selling guides or kits. When I go for one I'll give details as to how helpful that particular one was. Also, If you try one of the links before I do or anything else you've found, please feel free to comment.
